A Couple More!

I am SO excited to share these layouts with you – they make me so happy! These first layouts are just a spread about the hotel we stayed at called the “Comfort Suites” in Salt Lake City. We LOVED this hotel SO MUCH, so I thought it deserved it’s own spread 🙂

Once again I used several wallet sized prints that I ordered on a 4X6 canvas, which I described how to do in THIS TUTORIAL. That way I was able to include way more photos on fewer pages.

I used some grunge board from Tim Holtz (which I just LOVE because of how TOUGH this stuff is). I inked this key, sprayed with some pink glimmer mist (which is hard to see in these pictures) and tied some tulle to it, for that extra touch.

I used more grunge board hinges on these pages, just to  take up that empty space above and below my title, which was made up from several different letter stickers I had laying around. The pink ones were from the dollar store! Nice!

Again, I inked the hinges, sprayed them with glimmer mist, then adhered them with some jewel brads from Heidi Swapp – bought on clearance at my local scrapbook store. Who doesn’t love some bling?

Finally, I threw this layout together using scraps from the previous layouts I did. Those little squares were the cutouts from the photo mats in the previous layouts I posted yesterday. The white patterened ones are actually the backs of the green squares, it was a 2-sided patterned paper. I made that little collage before I even knew what photo I was going to use. I found this shot of me and my parents from my sister’s wedding and thought the color scheme worked well with the squares.

I used a journaling block from Making Memories to make quick work of my journaling. I took a chipboard bracket, painted Mod Podge all over it, printed out a page from this dictionary page digital kit I bought from twopeasinabucket, laid the sheet over the bracket, then mod podged over the paper. It I peeled away the extra paper, inked around the edges of the bracket, spritzed with some irridescent gold glimmer mist and adhered to the layout with pop dots! I love how this turned out!

Phew! I’m exhausted! But I’m thrilled that I’m putting a dent in my scrapbooking. I hope to keep going, but my house needs some attention! Not to mention my kids! I’ve been MIA the last couple of days 🙂
