I consider myself a prairie girl. The city I grew up in was surrounded on one side by the Rocky Mountains, and on the other by stretching prairie, and I have to admit – I prefer the prairie! The mountains are beautiful and majestic, but for me they are also daunting and confining.I love the wide open spaces, the fact that I can see forever, and the feeling of utter and complete freedom that I feel when I’m there. I love the stretching blue skies, the yellow canola fields or golden wheat fields, the rolling hills and the old barns. I love it all! This Sunday I’m paying tribute to the prairie. You have my heart!
